George Miller was an English evangelist and founder of a Bristol orphanage. He died in 1898, so he didn’t get a chance to write his 7 word testimony, but to paraphrase a great saying of his, I think his would have been:
“My walk counts more than my talk”

At first, the idea of telling an entire life story in 6 words seemed impossible. It wasn’t until I read the book Not Quite What I Was Planning that I realized that our experiences are broad in scope, but are often defined by themes. Depending on our perception of ourselves and the world, our life’s themes will gravitate either toward the positive or the negative. Although I haven’t received many submissions yet, I would venture to say that these 7 word testimonies will focus on the positive.
I guess that’s why I started this project in the first place. I’m taking the 6 word memoir idea and going one step forward.
For many people, life doesn’t turn out the way they planned, but when we accept God as the Master Planner, we can be happy that our life isn’t what we had in mind… but rather something bigger and better.
