“All failures redeemed by my King, Jesus.”

Samir from Iraq shares this testimony:

“Worshipped Allah. Found Yahweh. What a difference!”

Russell shares this testimony:

“Raised by atheists. God still reached me.”

This testimony is a reminder that being a Christian takes a daily commitment.

“Today, I am deciding to follow Jesus.”

How Sweet the Sound

Here’s another testimony inspired by a famous hymn, “I was lost but now am found.”

The Easter Chorus

There’s a phrase I always hear at Easter that makes a great 7 word testimony:

“He is risen.  He is risen, indeed.”

Here are 3 more testimonies that were submitted through email:

“Word of God — it is my life!”  Melinda Hirth

“Stand firm. God will fight for you.”  Lynn Pratt

“My Loving Lord, Faithful Through Every Transition”  Karis Pratt

The List So Far

Here are the testimonies that have been submitted so far:

fear, Grace, doubt, Grace, challenges, Grace, Heaven!

O to grace how great a debtor

Known Christ since childhood, thanks, Mom, Dad

The hand of God upon my life

From a pothead to a preacher’s wife

My walk counts more than my talk

I have been loved to love others

Leaving the slum’s mudpies for the sea

I’d love to see more, so if you’ve got one, please submit it to submit@7wordtestimonies.com.

Mike Brunjes from West Palm Beach, FL writes his testimony in these 7 words: “O to grace how great a debtor”

Thanks, Mike!

Can you do it?

Can you write your testimony in 7 words? No less, no more.

It’s harder than it sounds. But…

New York City is all buzzing about a new book called Not Quite What I Was Planning, a collection of 6 word memoirs from people in all walks of life.

Apparently, the idea came from a challenge Ernest Hemingway once received in a bar.

What struck me about the memoirs, though they are often funny and witty, was how hopeless many of the writers sounded.

In response, I’ve decided to ask people to give me their testimonies… in just 7 words.

To submit one, simply post a comment with your testimony onto any post on this blog. Or, you can send an email to submit@7wordtestimonies.com. You can include your name and location if you’d like, but it’s not necessary. I’m just looking for positive stories of people whose lives have been changed by their relationship with Christ.

Note that these might become a book one day and you’ll probably get no money from it, but if you include your name, you will get author credit.
